HydroniumHydronium forms in the presence of hydrogen ions and water.
Chemical Formula:
H3O+
Layman's explanation:
Hydronium appears when acid dissolves in water. It is one of two integral molecules used to measure basicity and acidity of a solution. When the concentration of hydronium is greater than that of hydroxide in a solution, the solution is considered acidic, and basic when the concentration is less. Hydronium is capable of healing insect bites, athlete's foot, sun burn, cuts, and lice. It is also used to prevent oral problems such as halitosis, plaque, sore throats, and strep throat.
