Everything from blood to tears are variations of the water compound. Water quality is an important issue in the environment. Safe water, water free of harmful toxins, is important for agriculture and community consumption. Criteria for safe water is based on levels deemed suitable for drinking, swimming, farming etc. The EPA uses specific water safety standards used by many states for water safety management. States may also adopt their own water safety standards for government approval.
