Vitamin U

Vitamin U is found in cabbage and is used to treat gastric disorders.

Other names: S-Methyl-L-methionine

Layman's explanation: Vitamin U has been in existence for a long time. It was first studied and written about in 1966. Most studies have been done by Eastern European scientists. It can be found in cabbage leaves, fruits, and vegetables. Its main use is helping in the healing process of ulcers. The S-enantiomer of the compound treats digestive disorders and is reactive with histamines. Vitamin U is also used in hair treatments to provide protection for the scalp.
