Short description: Blattelaquinone is a pheromone used by the German cockroach.
Layman's explanation: This pheromone was identified and synthesized by the Roelof group in the Department of Entomology, Cornell University, in 2005. It is produced in the sex-pheromone producing glands of the female German cockroach (blattela germanica).
