Layman's explanation: Lankalapuol A was isolated from the Aplysia dactylomela marine mollusk by the University of Hawaii at Manoa. The mollusks were obtained from both Hawaii and Sri Lanka fisherman in 1983. This molecule is a brominated sesquiterpene. It is UV transparent and forms white crystals.
