Layman's explanation: Estriol is a human female sex hormone. It is produced by the placenta. Only during pregnancy it present in the body at significant levels. Pharmaceutical companies suggest its use in “anti-aging” therapy and to alleviate menopausal effects. However, any hormone therapy interferes with natural processes in the body.
