Acetone is a colorless liquid that has a distinctive smell and taste.

Layman's explanation: Acetone is a major part of our body chemistry. It is a product of our metabolism and every organ contains some acetone. It goes by different names like 2- propane, pyroacetic acid, and ketopropane. As seen from previous experiences, acetone can cause health problems due to the role it plays in body functioning. Some properties of acetone are that it easily evaporates, is flammable, and can dissolve in water.
