Chromium trioxide

Chromium trioxide is very soluble in water.

Chemical Formula: CrO3
Layman's explanation: Chromium trioxide is used as a strong acid and oxidizing agent in laboratories. It is moderately toxic if ingested, but contact with the eyes can cause severe burns to blindness. Chromium trioxide appears as dark red flakes or crystals with no odor.
