Emmonsite

Emmonsite is one of the few minerals which contain tellurium.

Chemical Formula: H₂Fe₂O₁₀Te₃

Other names: Hydrated Iron Tellurite, durdenite, Diiron(III) tris(trioxotellurate(IV)) hydrate

Layman's explanation: Emmonsite was discovered in 1885 by geologist Samuel Franklin Emmons. Often called durdenite, emmonsite is one of only a few tellurium minerals. It forms bright yellow-green crystals and is often used as a micro mounted specimen.
