Layman's explanation: Limonene is a clear aromatic compound called a mono-terpene and is the major constituent of citrus peel oils (90-95%) and other ethereal oils. This molecule is found in many plants as a component to its fragrance, having a pine-like smell. Limonene is used in many products such as floor wax, polishes, and as a fragrance agent. This compound may be effective in preventing some types of cancer.
