Propyne

Layman's explanation: Propyne, also known as methyl acetylene and allylene, is a colorless, non-toxic gas. It is flammable at room temperature and atmospheric pressure with a characteristic sweet acetylenic odor. Since it is heavier than air and may travel along the ground (like ether) and distant ignition is possible. Propyne is the second simplest member of the acetylene family. It can form explosives mixtures with air and oxidizing agents. It is used as welding torch fuel. Propyne has been identified in the atmospheres of outer planets and in interstellar clouds.
