Sinhalite is a brownish green carbonate mineral.

Layman's explanation: Sinhalite was believed to be a brown version of peridot, which is normally green. It wasnt until 1952 that it was recognized as a new specimen. The majority of sinhalite is found in Sri Lanka. Sinhalite is a brownish green crystal that is a borate. It is used at a mineral specimen and as a gemstone.
