Cyanoacrylate is a colorless liquid with a characteristic odor that polymerizes very rapidly, particularly in the presence of moisture. It is used as fast glue and sets often in less than a minute. Besides household uses it is employed in medical applications (Dermabond and Traumaseal) for suturfree surgery. It is also used in forensic tool to visualize fingerprints using cyanoacrylate fumes.
