Layman's explanation: Trimethylenenitramine is a white stable crystalline solid that is also called RDX. It is a man made chemical, mainly used by the military as an explosive. It can be found in the soil and in groundwater, mostly around military areas. Its main uses are in explosives and propellants, being used as a propellant to inflate airbags. Trimethylenenitramine can be toxic if there is excessive exposure and can cause seizures.
